I was thinking of looking through a number of sources to find out what Alberto Salazar's training philosophy is, and then put it all on a single document. Would anyone be interested in seeing it, or would it be a waste of time?

no, can't afford the equipment, or the special doctors.
YES!
However, I feel like it would be exceptionally difficult to figure out the structure, workouts, supplemental "stuff" (whether that be strength work, doctors, 'supplements', etc), and whatever else from legit sources.
I feel like his workouts would also be pretty specific to the individual...
His 5K/10K would probably be his bread and butter from the success of his recent athletes...although I'd be interested to see what his marathon training looks like.
If you do put together the training regimen, I'd love to go over it...but would be even more interested in the sources.
I don't plan on making a training regimen, just his philosophy on periodization, when to do workouts, lifting, form, etc. I know of a few workouts that he uses frequently during every training period, and since he believes in repeating workouts, it may be enough. The whole point of doing this would be so people can make their own schedule based on his philosophy.
this is a brilliant idea!!11!!!
why didn't anybody think of this before!?!!!11!!

I read that as "supernatural stuff", which in Salazar's case is probably accurate.
Yes, I would be very interested to have access to his training principles and plans. It seems very hard to find specific information on top athletes and coaches in general. While I definitely understand the logic behind keeping knowledge of your training out of the opponent's hands, it would only benefit the younger, rising generation of American distance runners (myself included).
That would be great. I have tried to learn about what his training is like and have found a lot from different places but it would be great if you could pull it all together in a way that makes it easier to it apply to my own training.

It's a good idea, go for it, and don't let the negative nabobs distract you!
YES! send away man!
Alright after seeing mostly positive feedback on the idea, it seems like it would be a good idea to release the outline to you guys. I already had it made, but just wanted to make sure there was interest first. I can tell you with full honesty that this outline has no false information, and it was all gathered from videos and articles on the internet that deals with Salazar and his training. So with that, here it is:

How can we apply this type of training philosophy to athletes that do not have access to supplemental medications or doctors in Houston that will prescribe them for us?
considering that i gathered all that stuff from the different videos and interviews with salazar, i think you wasted your time.
i mean really, i'm a homeless chimp and i did what you did, before you did.
good job.

That's the trade secret part of the NOP plan. Beside the special "vitamins" there is the special equipment. Rupp has a special running water tank in his back yard. Before buying his own, you know he was a user at Salazar training lab.

That looks more like a horoscope than anything else.
Good stuff.
Can anyone explain what this means?
"Bring knee directly to butt"

Has to be a mistake, unless they are visualizing the femur folding in half or something. "bring foot directly to butt" is more like it.
Big thanks to the OP, the googledoc is an interesting read. There is nothing too crazy in there, sounds like it's just good planning.
Yeah sorry about that, it was a typo. I'll correct it right now
Also, if anyone notices something missing or notices a mistake, feel free to post it, and then i'll make the changes to the document.
To outline the training philosophy you have to start with a doctor's note.
* Said athlete has specefic ailment that requires certain medication that can be declared and given a waiver for IAAF testing.
* Specific medication may accidentally mask other medications that could be taken
* Use doctors and chemists to systematically medicate the athlete in a way that treats ailments, helps performance and avoids bad tests
* Use any scientific method possible to enhance abilities
* Place athlete in bubble wrap
* Train hard in systematic cycles
* Keep training and racing schedule close to the vest
* Release the athlete upon his competitors
