That was a sorry meet

Me and two teammates won the two mile in 13:00. We went into it just for fun and to joke around but ended up winning.

I won an 800 in 2:11 once.

I won an xc 5k in like 18:30 once.

At least 8 running the event? Try every high school duel meet I ever ran. Used to double in the 1600/3200 every duel meet and would frequently win in 5:00/11:00. Depending on the team(s) we were running against, there'd be upwards of 20 runners in the 1600 and easily 10-12 in the 3200.

4:5x usually wins every one of our meets, really high 10's and low 11's in the 2 mile.

I once won a 1000 in 2:59 I believe. There were about eight people in it.

I've never personally seen anyone win something with anything slower than like 5:10/high 11s (freshman level), high 4:50s/high 10s (JV level), or 4:45/10:30 (varsity), but my friend told me that in his high school area he won his conference meet 1600m in 5:11 on a windy day (varsity).

My friend who lives in Florida also told me that the #1 guy on their team ran 18:10 in the 5k in XC and usually got top 10 at meets. when i told him about guys who run sub-15 he didn't believe me haha

in my league, 4:15-4:20 or slower is considered a pretty slow time to win the league championship in. we had this kid a few years ago who ended up running 4:00.83 at the end of the season for 1600!

800m in 2:18, guy ran 1:59 in a 4x8 relay split but had absolutely no competition because one of our guys was sick, another injured, and our best guy the 1:57/4:23 guy lets call him jim was on vacation
