Not necessarily the baddest, most blistering kick by a distance runner. But this is definitely the greatest last 100 meters in distance running. Lagat/ElG in Athens. Video quality sucks.
The answer is clearly Alan Webb at the '05 World Championships

A 11-12 second 100 with 600 meters to go lol
"Look at Mills! Look at Mills!!!"
No way Lagat/El G is the best. Lagat/El G/Ngeny.

Tergat and Haile G, 2000 Sydney 10000 meters:

I think the OP is talking about the LAST 100m.
The fastest last 100 in a top1500 race (not really a distance event though) was Coe's last 100m in Moscow, 12.1.
Also had the fastest last 100 in an 800, 11.3 in Europa Cup semi 81.
Being a little more serious, this was Webb at his zenith and the last 100m is one of the best I've ever seen from anyone:

26.8/12.8 in a 3:34. Pretty good last 100.
Here's Coe with a 25.7/12.5 in a 3:32
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOVrht9WIvEAnd here's a 24.8/12.0 in 81 World Cup 800

I came here to post these two links, haha! I'd also add the last 100m where Webb beats Mehdi Baala in Paris:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uz5JMR22AjMI might be hounded for this, but this finish is pretty good

Noce compilation.
After seeing Wottle I expected Mills.
Was surprised to see Robby Andrews in the mix but that NCAA 800 was a great finish.
But we have to look at Mills, look at Mills:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5vOhMwRQwIThat's the baddest last 100m ever in a distance race.
He wasn't even in the picture frame until the last 30m or so.
You can see he is in a crowd coming out of that last turn in the background.
Would like to see a better, wider view.
Jeilan would have to be in the conversation from the 2011 WCs, where Farah ran a 53 second last lap and Jeilan still blew by him in the final 100m.

Agreed
Watching that final 100 at extremely early local time literally gave me goosebumps
To whoever posted the top-5: I would hardly put an NCAA final above an olympic gold when it comes to quality of the kick. the following I would have all above Andrews 800:
Wottle '72
Mills '64
Webb '07 any discussed earlier (at least, these ones were against world class competition)
Lagat '07 Worlds
Geb '00
El G '04
Makh Daddy '12
Bekele '08 5000m (the impressive thing was that he was the only one even being able to kick that day)
a ton of otehrs
Kemboi '11
