Now i definitely think Sarah Baxter will go sub 10 at Arcadia. If Frazier can do it then Baxter certainly can.
this thread was up a while ago but it's blank for me now
Looked great doing it. 5:03/4:54

I think it'll be kind of like the Hasay effect: one girl starts running insane times which inspires other girls.
Hasay's senior year had two girl sub-10 in the same race. I bet by the end of this year we'll have had at least three sub-10 girls, which has only happened a handful of times.
Which I guess begs the question: Is a sub-10 for a HS girl the equivalent of a sub-4 for a HS boy?
Mary cains indoor time and sarah baxter's potential this year in the 3200 have raised the bar greatly. Sub 10 will be more and more common hopefully.

No way. Maybe sub 9:40.
isn't she really tiny/small?
No. She's petite, but strong. A senior too. Already through her "changes." Should do well at dook next year

Sub 4 mile boy ----> sub 4:31 mile girl or sub 9:45 2 mile girl (basically 9:41 3200)

No, it *prompts* the question.
"Begging the question" means assuming that which is to be proved.
I already mentioned this in another thread, but she got asked to prom immediately after finishing. I didn't notice until I heard a big "awwwww" and turned to see Wesley hanging on a guy with a "PROM?" poster and flowers. Then all the girls behind me said that it was so cute
Nice time, but why don't they just run a 2 mile, what the hell is a 3200, just officials being lazy.

________
From Wikipedia:
Many English speakers use "begs the question" to mean "raises the question", "evades the question", or even "ignores the question", and follow that phrase with the question, for example: "this year's deficit is half a trillion dollars, which begs the question: how are we ever going to balance the budget?" Apart from philosophical, logical, grammatical and legal contexts, some authorities deem such usage to no longer be mistaken.
I concur, or stop at 3000 meters.

Except if the race had been 2 miles and she ran at the same pace she wouldn't have broken 10 minutes.

Also concur.
HS need to drop the 16/32 for the 15/3000. Its so stupid.
One possible reason is that the NCSU track doesn't have a two-mile start line painted on it. It has a one-mile start line at least.
