It WAS great ... there are some great young talents in there. In case you didn't note, they list Blankenship as a senior, but he's a true frosh, too. Barber and Blankenship have totally rocked their frosh years. They were super as prep seniors last year and have just kept getting better. Barber set the high school record last year, since he competed as a Texas prep his winner at AAU JOs counts (even though he's Canadian).Can't wait today to see if the Texas prep girls nail 14 or better today and if Daven Murphree can get 17-3 or better.

Shawn Barber''s 5,71 is a age 18 record as well as Canadian Junior and Senior Record and World Championship A standard. Would still be competing for USA had he not had a bad day at USA Junior Championships last year before going on to finish top 3 at Worlds.

Also three more over 5.61 which is the B standard. One of these is another true freshmen.

Topped off with a total 9 athletes over 18 and 20 athletes over 17 feet.
