I am a female steeplechaser coming up with my own training plan. I went 10:30 in the 3k steeple last spring and I am looking to improve upon that this spring. what do you think of this week of training?
Saturday-10k tempo
Sunday-easy recovery
Monday-9 miles aerobic
Tuesday-workout.
4x200 at 40 with 100 meter jog
5 minute threshold tempo
4x200 at 38 down to 36 with 200 meter jog
5 minute threshold tempo
4x200 35 on down with 60 second standing rest
Wednesday-10 miles aerobic
Thursday-8 miles aerobic
Friday-3 sets of 5x400. First set 90's with 100 meter rest. 5 minute jogging set rest. Second set 85's with 200 meter rest. 5 minute jogging set rest. Third set 80's with 400 meter rest.
Saturday-Long Run 13 miles.
