That's just fantastic video footage. I had seen only one or two of those and certainly never expected in my life to see '64 OT footage. Best compilation of historical T&F footage I've ever seen.

At the remove of almost half a century now, it's difficult to convey Jim Ryun's godlike status among American kids then. I can remember staying in his dorm in Flagstaff, the summer of '68. When we chanced to go down in the elevator with him, we would never speak--or even look directly--at him. Too awed.

keino got walloped by 4s & i'd always assumed he'd given up when he saw ryun pass him so decisively

that doesn't look like he gave up !
