Please explain this to me? Legitimately curious as I don't really have respect for either group. And I'm not really referring to "Bullying" because all that is a total joke. i dont care who is bullying in pro sports. i care about PEDs.

The bullying isn't a joke, it was a legitimate problem that allowed the doping problem to grow worse.
And Bekele and Geb don't get much hate because there hasn't yet been evidence that they doped (other than "they're good"). Not even so much as a teammate claiming they doped.
+1
You should care about TUEs as much as you care about PEDs.

People care because he made it a point to literally ruin people's lives if they got in his way. In addition, all the while he had some squeaky clean image that made him $100 million on the backs of the people e was destroying. He was so self righteous about how "clean" he was and was relentless about going after people who said otherwise. That about sums it up.
First of all Bekele and Geb have not been proven to use performance enhancing drugs so that is one a major difference. The comparison falls apart there. Similarly, there haven't been books written saying they were doping.
However, considering the era we operate in, let us for the sake of argument say they were using drugs and it is proven.
Do Bekele and Geb go out and destroy the people who accuse them? Lance went out and destroyed the people who accused himof drugs. Then he "came clean" in an interview where many believe he is still lying.
Geb competed in the EPO era of endurance sports and ran times that only 1 other person in that era and 1 person since seriously approached (5k).
I think it's safe to assume Geb and Komen were on EPO. It doesn't make them bad people, it's just a reality of that era, especially before the EPO test.
Lance Armstrong was accused because it was systematic doping of a team for his benefit and he is 1000 times more well known and wealthy than Geb or Bekele.

So, what you're saying is it's not humanly possible (without EPO of course) to run sub 12:45?
Bump
Might have something to do with the simple fact that 99.999% of the general population has never heard of Bekele, Geb, etc.

exactly. for me, this is it. I don't care if he used drugs, and in fact believe all "drugs" should be legal, but he sued (multiple times) people who did accuse him of it and made their lives horrible...for telling the truth.
i suspect that bekele and geb have doped their entire careers
we know much more about ped use in cycling and lance was a bully
The media and the iaaf are snooping round team sky and the EAs so there may be a clearer picture emerging
what is a TUE?

Why do you suspect Geb and Bekele? Because they run faster than you? Please explain.

I think it's impossible to run under 12:40 without drugs. 3 people have done it and 2 of those athletes did it in the biggest doping era of endurance sports. Don't be naive.
1. 12:37.35 Kenenisa Bekele (ETH) 2004
2. 12:39.36 Haile Gebrselassie (ETH) 1998
3. 12:39.74 Daniel Komen (KEN) 1997
4. 12:46.53 Eliud Kipchoge (KEN) 2004
5. 12:46.81 Dejen Gebremeskel (ETH) 2012
6. 12:47.04 Sileshi Sihine (ETH) 2004
To make note, because a lot of people don't understand the timeline here.
There was no EPO test until 2000.

Maybe in absolute value, but it could be argued that Geb is relatively more wealthy than Armstrong when local GDP and cost of living are considered. Remember, much of Ethiopia lives on $1/day equivalent. Geb has a lot of money, hotels, businesses, etc.

Why? So, a human can run as fast as 12:40 and not a second faster? You show scientific evidence that clearly points out that the human body is absolutely, positively not capable of running sub 12:40 w/o peds and I'll believe that Geb and Bekele used.

Anyway you spin it, Lance earned more, was 100x more well known, competed on a team and was involved in systematic doping of the team which produced more people to talk about what was going on.
I think we all can agree that Geb is a more likeable character, even if he dopes, than Armstrong. There is a humility and kindness that Geb projects that Armstrong never did.
At the highest levels of sport in an era notoriously dirty, even the good guys dope. That is fact.
