It's just silly that Pre gets the win over Viren and Coe. If they selected the best runner of all time based on American popularity, then sure, Pre wins, but they aren't. In terms of dominance, Pre loses to pretty much everyone.
Jurek over Powell is understandable, given their (stated) bias for distance runners. Plus, Powell under-performs in the big house.

Pre over Viren or coe is a joke as was most of the 70's bracket. With it being Runner's World, I was just shocked that Kara Goucher wan't somewhere on there list.
I'd put all of the other finalist's from Pre's bracket (Waitz, Shorter and Coe) ahead of Pre. Easily.
