I'm torn between the double cheeseburger (BK), the McDouble, and the Jr. Cheeseburger Delux. But of course, there are many options.

Great question! Here are my rankings
1. Wendy's because of the crispy chicken sandwich and the fris are only a dollar (not so at Mcd)
2. McDonalds. Quickly becoming my favorite with the spicy chicken and the Mcdouble. Lack of fri and drink option at the dollar level hurts it's value tho.
3. BK - generally, BK has poor quality all-around. Maybe it's the ones I visit. Most variety, but quality just isn't there for me.
They are all disgusting.
Ok, I opted for Burger King and was appalled to find that the double cheeseburger actually costs $1.59. Why would anyone choose that over the McDouble, which really is a dollar?
McDonald's for the win based on overall value. Honorable mention for Wendy's because their Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe is so delicious.

Uhhh... maybe because some people value a burger that's actually GRILLED vs one that's fried on a gross range top, you simpleton.
If a food item makes its way to 'the dollar menu' you know it's quality is close to 0. Making that McTripleFatassCheese burger you so love and cheaply enough to turn a profit by selling it for $1 is a real miracle of engineering and food science. "Quality" and any dollar menu item should not even be spoken in the same sentence. Yes, and this is coming from a former McD's employee. We called the McDouble the "McTrouble" for the unworldly ass-grease it would cause you to have. We called the "chicken selects" the "chicken defects" because it's reconstituted undesirable chicken parts. You get the picture.
Lots of McDonald's hate. You'd think that real runners would get past that hobby jogger nutrition stuff. Next they'll post about "Three great ways to crosstrain your way to a new PR".
I'm a big fan of McDonald's lately. The grilled onion cheddar burger is great and so is the mcchicken

I understand that McDonald's is cheap and it works in some situations, but what about is 'great' to you? 'Great' means that it's a very high-caliber product, like better than 90% of everything else that's out there. I understand it may have a 'great' pricetag, but you need to be clearer about that. By default, 'great' implies taste when applied to food. McDonald's is in no way 'great', but it is very cheap, which you may value quite a bit.
No when you get a nice fresh batch of fries they are better than at least 90% of the other french fries available And 100% better than any product at that price range. You might even say they're great.
