Which causes faster running: fear or anger?
Which causes faster running: fear or anger?
Pure hate.
Running with fear gives you more adrenaline but running on pure hate probably keeps you more focused on the race.
Smart training, confidence, perfect execution of the race plan.
Fear is part of towing the line, but hate is for light weights.
both are part of the sympathetic response. they're meant for sprinting a short distance. cannot be sustained much longer.

Fear. Anger isn't as focusing.
I've been chased by a bear while running and the adrenaline surge is unreal. Anger is not as good.

Which explains why you express so much hate on 90% of your posts.
Interesting; I have had a similar experience (being chased by dogs at night) but I disagree that fear makes you more focused because anger lets you make decisive tactical moves while racing, when fear could make you run the first 200 meters too fast.
The people getting outkicked and at the end of races are probably afraid of a farah or rupp behind them but they still get outkicked. No real life dangers such as bears so the adrenaline rush wouldnt be that big, anger is good to use for the last 400 or so any distance race. Especially while kicking for 1st
