So right now I'm using the old nike zoom victories and I like them quite well. The only thing is they have a rip in them so I'm not so sure how much longer they will last. So I need a new track spike. I run the 800m so I was thinking either the Saucony endorphin md 3 or the new nike zoom victory 2. Any suggestions?
Nike Mamba 2s are better than both. I wore them last year and loved them.
if it aint broke, dont fix it: hunt around on the internet and you can find another pair of original victories for probably pretty cheap. Otherwise, the MD3 and Victory 2 are both good choices. I wouldn't call either better than the other for an 800. The mamba is also a good one to consider, although I personally dont like it as much for the 800. Best course of action is to go to your local running store and try on whatever they have and pick what you like best.
I'm not the OP, but I just tried the Victories and the Asics Spivey LD this morning. I went with the Spivey LD for the 800m. Fit is critical for spikes so whatever fits best is probably the best for you.
If you have more of a lead and bleed tactic definitely endorphin 3 but if you are like Robby Andrews or a classic Dave wottle and wait to kick at the end then buy the Vic 2's unless your original Vic's are even semi good because if they are I have both raced in them and I like the originals MUCH better let me stress MUCH better.
