Hello,
I just got done with indoor track season in which I was a little disappointing, but I did PR in the 5k.
My training has been 60-70 MPW for the past few months with mostly easy running and some workouts (5x800 in 2:30 (400 jog) and another one was 2k/1k x 2 (6:45, 6:50), (3:18, 3:20) with 2 minutes rest (standing).
I am looking to run a half marathon mid to late april and I would like your feedback on my goal which is to run under 1:15.
I ran a 5k (indoor) with very inconsistent splits (I was trying to stay with some guys that were a lot faster than me and try to hang on as long as possible) but I still Pr'd by 6 seconds.
My splits were (5:04, 5:21, 5:29) and a 37 last 200. I ran a "practice" half 2 months ago in 1:18 mid on a pretty hilly course, but I plan to run my goal race on a pancake flat course.
What do you think?
Can I run under 1:15?
Any other information you need about my training just ask.
Thanks
