an excuse many americans use for skipping world xc is they have a marathon coming up, since she has a marathon coming up in london on april 21st it will be interesting to see if she turns down this race to concentrate on london.

if she wants a race before london maybe instead of this race which has really good competition, she can maybe do things the american way by running lets say the jacksonville 15k or shamrock shuffle where there will be less competition.

and yes i am being sarcastic and taking a shot at USA runners over the years who have made our world xc teams or could have made our teams, but opted for some mickey mouse races instead.

Muktar Edris, Hagos Gebrehiwot and Yigrem Demelash are all solid guys. 12:45 to 13:03 guys that have come up big lately. Yigrem is a junior with a 10k PR of 26:57... ad also finished ahead of galen rupp after the olympics in zurich? promissing runner.. extremely young... look out for this kid.

Hagos is older and better. Better than rupp and mo farah (the self proclaimed best distance runner) i bet he will destroy both of them in the summer. Looks like mo may also not be as good as rupp.

The junior mens team is as strong.. if not stronger than the seniors.

One very commong saying is do not mess with your first marathon and I can potentially see Tiru opting out of this with London being 4 weeks later. Having said that, the womens race is only 8k compared to the mens 12k.

Lets also combine this with the fact that she (and a bunch of others) didn't even race the ethiopian trials and this is a recipee for disaster among their selecters.

I bet the junior men's team would beat the senior men's team.

I root for tirunesh over vivian cheruiyot. Tirunesh is so much better than vivian. Tirunesh can run a half marathon and vivian didn't run 13.1 miles. probably never. Vivian no 10k race since august 3rd 2012. probably a 10k in moscow world champs and that's all.

I am surprised Hagos is not on the senior squad. He would be a huge asset for the senior men's team and would place very high. The Ethiopian team looks great without him but if he does run the senior race they should be able to beat Kenya without much trouble. Their scoring four would be Imane Merga, Tariku Bekele, Hagos Gebrhiwet and Feysa Lilesa. I just do not see how that team could lose.

I hope Vivian keep losing to meseret defar and Tirunesh due to her lack of endurance. Vivian ran a measley 3k edinburgh cross country losing to defar. Vivian runs stupid races. Tirunesh runs good races.

Vivian skipped world cross country 2013 to do what? Nothing no 10k race. she is annoying and Vivian is not breaking 30:00 like Tirunesh already broken 30:00 for 10k.
