"Was their a total disaster?" It sometimes genuinely pains me that this site is run by Ivy grads.
Anyway, as Brett Hoover and others have observed, it may be time to declare Abbey D'Agostino the G.O.A.T. for the Heptagonal (Ivy League) championships. She broke the Heps record in the 5,000m, then soloed a 4:32 mile ("leading" the men's milers for at least five laps). That mile was a meet record by 11 seconds, and she led four other women under the old mark. She also ran a great anchor on the 4x880y--wish I had the split on that.

Dani Walker of Lipscomb named MVP of Atlantic Sun Conference after winning the 3000m by 14 seconds in 9:37 (13 seconds faster than conference record), winning the Mile by 10 seconds, second fastest time in conference history 4:43, winning the 5000m by 24 seconds with third fastest time in conference history 16:59, then running a 56 second split to anchor the 4x400 relay 30min later. She led every step of the 3k, Mile and 5k and set school records in all four events.
Not a traditional conference... but the NEICAAA (New England) meet was last weekend.
Senior, Aaron Radden (20.96i PR and D1 second team iAA) from Central Connecticut State University (Northeast Conference) completed his four year sweep on the NEICAAA 200m with a winning finals time of 21.01. He also took the 60m title in '11,'12,'13 for a 3 year sweep. There was no 60m held in 2010, it was a 55m and Aaron placed 7th in that final.

CMU Men's and women's teams are terrible. The this press release is a joke. Coach says that are headed in the right directions! They finished 5th of 5 in the men's meet and 8th of 9th in the women's meet. How in the world can anyone say they are headed in the right direction! FIRE THIS GUY! FIRE THEM ALL! GO HURON!

Not in this context. The "goat" is a term used to describe the worst member of a group.

West Point Sophomore Lisa Junta deserves honorable GOAT mention for a nice double 5K/3K in the Patriot League Championships (2/15-17). She was 16:52/9:44 for the win and personal best in each event.
NE-10 men's side. Umass Lowell announced they were moving up to Division 1 a few days before conferences. Stonehill promptly beats them by 2.5 points.

Nebraska's freshman HH ranked second going into the finals of the big 10 FALSE STARTS! I think Nebraska could of used his 8,or 6 or even 5 points to there team total. They would of won the Big 10 championship! Jus a freshman. Dont wont to pile on too much.
I second the Pat Casey and Abbey D'Agostino nominations for best performances.
As for the goat (goat, not G.O.A.T.) performances: Big 12 women, SEC women, Big 10 M&W, and Heps M&W were all decided by 5 or fewer points. Find anyone who was a favorite on a losing team and finished worse than 5th or so, there's your goat.
Here's a team goat for ya, Winthrop last on the men's side (only 13 points) and tied for last on the women's side (25) in the very weak Big South.

Yes, goat was in the title of the thread, not my terminology, besides that guy might be too fast for any goat but a GOAT. Also to clarify, the whole crew from Illinois did a fabulous job, winning the women's comp and coming a hare's breath from winning the mens when they were NOT one of the favorites shows how well they did, including big points from Illinois anchor (without even half his 16 points they are in no position to break into the top four).
