There is no time any more. They take the top 16 entrants.

Right now #16 on the list is

16 Fallon, Christopher SR-4 Ohio State 3:59.37

Someone like Lalang may just do 3k so who knows what it will end up being.

Oklahoma is a great training venue. It's so boring, there's nothing to do except run.

Damn Dave Smith is so much better at coaching foreigners than Americans!

What's interesting is that three of their top four guys from cross are missing from that list. That's some depth.

Rojo, TFRRS lists 20 D1 athletes that ran under 3:42 for 1500 last spring, and there are, thus far, 23 that have run sub-4 indoors this season.

A 4 minute mile is not what it used to be. We know how to do that now.

How about some accountability for none of your athletes breaking 4 coach rojo. It isn't that hard now a days. Heck Bannister did it off 30 minutes a day while in med school.

When almost a quarter of those are from one school, that means something.

4:00 mile = 3:43.74 1500m. It is no surprise there are less athletes who broke 3:42

Nyet. 3:42 mid is the conversion, always will be.Nonetheless, there are plenty of reasons why more NCAA guys now go faster indoors, not the least of which is a plethora of rabbited races with good fields under always perfect conditions. Plus that list on TFRRS was not updated after 5/13, and a number of guys improved markedly after that, like Cabral and Merber.If you peruse the USATF comprehensive list for 2012, things change. Only 50 guys under 4:00, but 50 under 3:41.

Means what? Convenience? Four of those guys went under in *one race*. It's not like they were banging away at it for weeks. By that reasoning, Arkansas, UW, Notre Dame, BU, etc. shouls have loads of sub 4 guys.

No, they didn't. And don't forget that there were also 2 guys from OU runnning sub-4. That makes 6 from one state...and every single one of them did it on the Arkansas track. It isn't the fastest track in the world for no reason.
