Lagat was on the floor after that race- you very rarely see a stoic kenyan on the ground. Ouch. And what happened to Jager? Somewhere along he picked up a piano.
Lagat = Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds. Cheserek actually looks older than Lagat.
Holy schnikes
I think it was 8:39:15, anyone confirm?

Rupp = Peter Pan. Ageless 17-year old "Wonder." More "vitamins" take than sold by a drug store.
Lagat is great but seriously with the condition Galen is in these days he'd have destroyed Lagat in this race.

You've been drinking too much of Rupp's bath water. Not good.
Looks can be deceiving. Cheserek, from what I heard, is an orphan(from young age). Life as a poor orphan in Africa is really tough and will definitely make you look 50s when you are just a teenager. You are lucky not to die as many do before they are 7. We should just be happy Cheserek has another chance to chase life's dreams like everyone else.

Cheserek looks a bit old for a high school runner. Just saying.
Who set the pace for Lagat?

If that were true, Galen would have run it. The fact that he didn't proves that he probably would lose.

All good news for Ducks.
Lagat only takes 2 tenths off the record, so Rupp can get it again and get another nice set of bonus checks.
And Cheese, just let loose he's going to be a Duck.
Kostelnik (duke) through 1k, Heron Lagat through the mile. Couldn't really tell splits due to the weird distances / start lines -- I think they hit the start line at about 2:34-5 (so about 2:31-2?) and heard the mile was 4:04-5 I think

Sounds great, but Cheserek is a verified 19.
