What did people think of these? Seem affordable, but I'm curious if they work.

I wear the Faas 350's for workouts and I think they're pretty good. I have to wear a cheap arch insert with them though to boost stability.
I wear the 300s for the short stuff during training. I've PR'd in the 10k and the half marathon in them. They just came out with a new version--I need to check them out.
on my high school team, we would wear puma 300's for everything while running up to 80 mpw. I would say they are somewhat similar to nike frees.

I don't think the Puma 300s are similar to Nike Frees.
The 300s are very, very soft. The shape of the end of the shoe is awful for my feet and causes heinous blisters. The insole slid around alot too until I superglued it down.
I don't like them. Too narrow in the toe box and far too soft and thin.
Free 3.0s seem much sturdier with more cushioning and a stiffer midsole.
I prefer Adidas Hagios for racing.
Good ole adidas.
I wear the faas 300 for everything from training runs up to 23 miles to races over 10k etc... I'm reasonably quick (29.30 10k) and think they are excellent and very good value, they last forever. Personally I only find they fee; 'soft' when I run slow, the quicker I go the more responsive and firm they feel. Try them.
