Who is Rich Peters?

Here's what I find interesting. Whether you were being sarcastic or not about knowing Rich Peters, I bet you know who Kyle Merber is.

This is not a personal afront to Merber but this guy gets sooooo much hype on here and Flotrack. Yes, he ran a fast 1500 but has the guy even been an All American? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he has never been an All American. Rich Peters has been 2nd in the NCAA meet but I'm sure much less people know about him than they do the overhyped and overrated Merber.

Peters has been consistently good for years now and is one of the top milers in the NCAA. He is not one of the FloBoys favorites though so they aren't jocking the hell out of him after ever race for an interview.

Maybe because Rich Peters is British and turned 21 the winter of his freshman year. No affront to him either, but you can't fault people mostly from the U.S. who typically start college at 18 to feel more connected to collegian who is much more like them. And what good does it do to frigging whine about that anyway? Will Peters' times have tenths of seconds added to them if he doesn't get sufficient love on message boards?

yeah merber is a total runner bro. he's basically just like most of the people that post here and on flotrack... its just that he's a lot faster. just like nick symmonds, people can relate to him, therefore he's popular. or wheating.

totally man. and merber's 3:35 is on a track that most think is short... merber and lutz....hyped but mega good runners when they are on (usually early in the season)rich peters is more consistent
