I've been running 4-5 mile tempo runs over a hilly course. I am able to run low 6:30s but have a hard time reaching anything in the 6:20s for more than a mile or two. Is this a bad sign or is 6:30s fast enough?
Half-marathon PR is 1:24:30 but it was on an extremely fast (i.e. downhill) course (i.e. Tucson). I think I'm more of a 1:25ish half marathoner on a flat course. Marathon PR is 3:10.
All my other workouts go well. 10-12 mile pace runs, long runs around 7:45 pace, 10x800 in 2:50s, etc. Should I be worried about my lack of speed with the tempos?
