After about a year and a half away from running after high school, I'm getting back into it. While I'm embarrassed with my current fitness, I can feel it start to return pretty easily.
I've only been doing every other day at half an hour to prevent any stress injuries as I was discouraged by the end of my senior track season having put up with a stress fracture all season after a great winter base.
My question is should I first re-acclimate myself to running by doing singles for a while until I'm smooth and healthy at ~40mpw or should I introduce early doubles once I get back on my feet?
