Freshman Brandon McBride (46.2 (400m) and 1:46.0 (800m)) should open his indoor season this week.
I believe that this may be his first indoor season ever. Anybody knows if he is indeed competing this week? Any inside news on his fitness level?Predictions?
With all this raw talent, I really hope that he made a smart college choice.

He holds both the 400 and 800 junior records
The indoor junior records are 47.98 and 1:48.1 respectively. I believe that he ran one meet last winter and tied the junior record at 400.
He should beat both junior records this winter (assuming that he's healthy of course).

I'm figuring that he would be quite the beast over 600m also. 1:15.XX?

Brandon just ran 1:47.74 in Notre Dame, which is a Canadian Junior indoor record.
I'm not surprised. I wonder if people will start to consider him as a contender for a top 8 finish at NCAA (in my mind he's one of the favorites for the win).

At NCAA's don't be surprised if he takes the race. He is just that good.
Can he also beat Gary Reed's Canadian "senior" indoor record of 1:46.47 this winter? It may require a time close to that to win NCAA.

He ran 47.02 at Tyson for a new (again) Canadian indoor junior record. So not as slow, is it? As I said before, watch out for him at 800 at the NCAAs.
This guy is an absolute killer, assuming his instincts are as good as his abiliy, wow, he would be the guy to watch at Nats 800, I would think after 1:47.x opener?

Probably one tenth off qualifying for NCAA. Probably better that he didn't qualify. He already ran a lot this winter and he has no chance at 400m. No point in doubling...
I hope that his 800m time holds up today and that he qualifies for the 800m.
McBride didn't make it out of the heats. I can't believe it. Was he badly positioned?
I dunno, but Notre Dame got two caucasian underclassmen into the finals for the 400.
