How awful is Netflix Instant? So bad. I cannot believe they initially wanted to make it a stand alone offering. Talk about a tanker.
Warrior w/ Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton was an awesome movie.
Brokeback Mountain.
Actually. It got so many nominations and awards, it's a good movie.
Otherwise, Netflix just got the rights to stream Disney movies. If you want some nostalgia you can go with that.
Netflix sucks. Plain and simple.
Haven't head Netflix in years but in 2008 or so all their instant stuff were 1980's chick flicks. IMDB rating of 5.9 or below. Has it changed much?
Glengarry Glen Ross
Starring Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin, Ed Harris, Alan Arkin, and Kevin Spacey.
I don't understand the "Cord-cutters" at all. Netflix instant is terrible. My kids use it, and every now and then I can find a B movie like The Eiger Sanction or Drive.
I got an Apple TV. You can rent or buy virtually anything. Yes, you have to pay, but it's got a great selection and it's on demand.
I used to like it, but man it's terrible now. I finally dropped it because the only thing worth having is their DVD rental, but it's too darned expensive.
Streaming is horrid.

Quite some movies (some classics) that are only available to buy and not to rent on Apple TV. But those are typically the ones that you can also not find on Amazon instant.
Buffalo 66
Just watch Breaking Bad seasons 1-4
I've got fast broadband and I still had problems with the streaming. The selection is awful and it just isn't worth it, IMHO.
Apple TV is good but the setup is expensive, FWIW.

I don't understand what everyone hates about streaming. There's thousands of incredible movies, lots of good shows, and the service works well. I've got something like 45 movies in my "To watch" queue right now.
I went through a bunch of classic '80s movies on there a while ago - The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, The Thing, The Fly, so if you haven't seen those they're a good choice. They also just added seasons 1-7 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
A few off the top of my head that I have watched on netflix and enjoyed:
A Town Called Panic (Pannique au Village)
French stop-motion animation using a random assortment of toys. Very bizarre, but also very fun.
Let the Right One In (Låt den Rätte Komma In)
Moody Swedish vampire movie. Not quite as good as I expected from reading reviews, but still enjoyed it. I think they have "Let Me In" on Netflix as well (American film based on the same book and came out a couple years later), but I have not watched it yet.
The Secret of Kells
Animated movie about the Book of Kells. Very interesting art work -- much like an illuminated manuscript itself.
The Robber (Der Räuber)
Austrian marathoner / bank robber - based on a true story. Maybe I am biased, but I enjoyed it.

I'll give you that. The shows are a good plus, but only a handful of them. The movies are awful.
Reservoir Dogs, Chinatown, Jackie Brown, Memento, Following, Clay Pigeons
Is Following good?
A little more detail, please.
Office Space, Pulp Fiction, Hot Rod, and a bunch of good TV Shows.
