discuss. he sure runs violently. his agility and cuts are very vigorous and violent. he runs into brothas and makes em pay for it. even moreso than usain bolt or rudisha.

It is OJ no question. AP is tame next to that guy.
Earl Campbell
Trayvon Martin was running something fierce when he chased after Zimmerman.
Jim Thorpe.
Jim Brown, bruiser.

Earl Campbell and it's not even close, youngin. youtube his videos.
there's a reason the man can't walk today. spine is all jacked up, but damn he played like a MAN.

^ This.
jim brown, bo jackson
Bo Jackson, JIm Brown and Earl Campbell were the most punishing. They hurt people every play.
I loved how when Jim Brown was so pissed off that Franco Harris was going to break his rushing record he almost came out of retirement when he was 50!
Watch that Earl Cambell you-tube video I posted just above. He totally drilled Jack Tatum and dropped him like a sack of flour and scored.
Not of all time but definitely currently playing. I'd have to agree with Campbell and I'd also throw Walter Payton into that mix.
There was a thread on LR a while ago about a former sub 4 high school miler who recently murdered his family and then committed suicide. That guy was a pretty violent runner.

Yep. Earl Campbell wins this one.
This guy. Sore loser.
No doubt Campbell. Also throw John Riggins and Larry Czonka into the discussion. The old timers that had no regard for their health when they played all out.
How many times did Ladanien Tomlison (sp) skip important playoff games when he was the top back in the league? It was a different game in the 70's-early 80's.
O. J. Simpson. That dude could cut, slash and run like nobody else!

Yup ^. Jim Brown was before my time so I can't comment on him but I can say with certainty there's been nobody even close to Earl Campbell since I started watching (early '70s).

Larry Csonka should at least be included in the conversation. He remains the only running back that I know of that received a personal foul while running with the ball. Csonka also had little running skills beyond stright ahead as hard as he could go. Moves & speed were not a part of his game. Campbell, Peterson, and others at least had/have those options at times.
