Im moving to an apartment soon and wont have a backyard to hang stuff out in. What do those who live in apartments do with their running gear from day to day? If you store wet gear inside, where do you store it? And how often do you run the same running clothes before washing them?
Shower
Sweaty shirts go right into the laundry. Everything else gets hung up somewhere in my bedroom and used again once or twice. If stuff is still wet the next time I need it, I'll rotate in another set.
Soak it in the sink or tub with a mix of laundry detergent. Then hang it up to dry over my tub.
thanks cocoa, your answer is the best for my situation. i didnt think about the tub which is obvious lol! so, as long as its soaked in detergent, chances of mildew and mold are slim?
im not going to waste money washing the clothes every day in the complex's alundromat, so hanging stuff to dry works best for me. But, i imagine this would be a problem in the summertime because of the AC running?
Why would the AC be a problem?
I also just hang my stuff in the bathroom or on the top of doors going to my bedroom or closet. I always wear things twice, except for winter stuff (pants, jackets, hats/gloves), which I'll wear much more often before washing. If specific items are too smelly, I'll spray a bit of febreeze on them just so I don't make anyone on the elevator pass out.

I put a pole across the top length of the shower.
I rinse my running togs with the warmup water from the tap in a bucket, hang them on the pole, slide them to the back, then have my shower. After my shower, I move them to the pole in the other bathroom.
With the AC running, it would take longer to dry because its cooler inside. But, I plan to get a dryer, and just use the complex washer for my normal loads, and then just soak my running clothes.
