Was curious as to who was the chick with the big legs in the 1500 final.
She was actually out in the lead pack for much of the race, I know TV can sometimes add a few pounds but this girls thighs appeared huge, not the typical running build.

Who are you talking about?

It definetely was not anybody that finished in the top 4, this runner was in the mix for the first few laps then must have dropped off the pace. I just couldn't believe how big her legs were, they almost appeared "fat" but that would be pretty much impossible given the level of competition.
I think you mean the semi-final? There was a woman with large legs in one of the semi's, but I don't know who she was.
Hey dude (thunder brain)!
Obviously, she was great enough to be there! It really burns me how you XY chromosomes feel free to rip the XX's body plan and performances. How, exactly, may I ask, your own quads hold up right now to the intense media scrutiny of an Olympic trials 1500 m final?? Would you even be there?? Elite distance runners have a wide variety of inherited body types (consider Rob Decastella, Tosiko Seko (sp both), even Joanie Benoit was not a sprite in her heyday). I myself ran a 2:33 marathon as a "larger" elite female, and that was over 20 years ago! If they're there, they have got the talent, buddy!
I love those sprinter thighs!
Imagine those wrapped around your face.
Hey, relax!
I'm not being critical of her in any way, it was just surprising to me to see somebody with that body type to be able to run at that level, men or women.
OK..apology accepted..grudgingly! :))
elissa reidy w/ the farm team
there was one in the 10,000 final too, they showed her everytime she was getting lapped. Looked waaaaaaay out of place. any idea who she is?
you idiot! Anyone in that race has run very fast to be there. Who cares what someone looks like? I did not realize that was one of the criteria used to pick the team. Silly me. Who are you to judge? In your own words, you are "waaaaaaay out of place."
Since when is having big thighs a bad thing, especially for women
definitely want to be knocked out by those American thighs.
I know she had to have run very fast to have qualified to run. My question is, what the hell happened to her since then?? She was not running fast at the Trials. She must have added on about 30 pounds? And while we're at it...what's with the slower O'Neill twin's head bob? Looks like an f'ing palsy running like that.
who cares how fast she runs, she's cute.
If you don't even know who she is, how do you know she "added on about 30 pounds"? There are many reasons why a qualifier might show up the day of trials and not be able to match the qualifier - especially in the 10k. Weight is probably one of the least likely reasons. that is probably just her build.

We gonna get this same goofy-assed opinion about the fat guys? The "how-the-hell did they get to the trials" guys?
No, because we're not homos.
I didn't see any fat runner guys, but Tim Broe could probably stand to lose a pound or two, it would probably help him get that standard, he's kind of a strapping guy for a distance runner.
Fat bottomed girls make the rockin world go round!
