Dave Smith has to recruit extreme talent because he is utterly pathetic at developing it. He's a well below average coach with well above average resources and recruiting skills.

Is Smith ever going to start a full track program or will it be all money going for distance like now?

How come no one ever said this about Oregon's run of titles? Or did they? Seems like that team was just as extremely talented and damn near as foreign as OSU.

This isn't the same as renting Kenyans. Smith did develop all the talent on the team.

Yeah, Wisconsin's runners are all from the US and none of them had ever run a mile under 5 min until college. They weren't talented at all in high school. Completely developed in Madison.

Talent + training = titles.

yeah man, he needs to stop bringing in foreign all-stars like Colby Lowe, German F and Ryan Vail.

The transfers from Auburn and Western Kentucky ran well.

Now three championships in four year, if Girma had run last year they would have won.

Finaly DS is getting credit for being one of the best college coaches in the country.

Wisco's#1 is from Canada.

DS has developed the two African refuges into very good runners. They did not have any support from their governments.

The Brit, TF was a 14:00 type guy. DS turned him if to 13:15 guy.

Stop beign and idiot and give credit when credit is due. DS is now the best College coach in America.
