Is Michael Johnson's running form, upright and tall, the best running form?

Mr. Culpepper is smooth as silk as a distance runner, I think. Tinman
Jorge's is the most relax and efficient
I've never seen anyone as beautiful as Kip Keino... that may date me a little. Lagat looks extraordinary to me at Stanford, and he wasn't exactly surrounded by joggers, either. Jackie Hanson was very smooth, too.
Chris Lukezic
Bekele
no doubt Bekele or Gebrselassie
Tergat or El G
Lukezic definitely has the smoothest form I've ever seen in person.
I don't really buy into the whole form thing. While that may be why I am not, "good," I have improved every year since I started running and my form is said to be awful, but it is what is most comfortable for me. My point is that I think that everyone's form is the best for them, if that sort of makes sense to you guys. If its not totally obvious, I don't really know too much about the subject and am probably inviting some harsh criticism, but oh well, just my two cents.

always was a huge fan of wilson kipketer. his record setting 800m effort at Zurich '97 is smooth as silk.
Mr. Bowerman talked about having a plum line from your hips to your waist, I believe.
Michael Johnson is a up right runner. Id this upright form more efficent. Many distance runners have a slight forward lean to their running gait. I have been told that it is ok to have a slight lean. I have tried running more upright but have always gone back to leaning forward a bit.
No, he wasn't the best...but I'll never forget watching Dick Beardsley running against Salazar at Boston '82. LIGHT on his feet, just floating.
lukezic, ryun, and lagat
I second Kipketer. Bekele's form is a little worse than Geb's and MJ's form was never textbook, but obviously, it works for them.
Margaret Okayo. I'm not sure that what she does counts as running because it's not clear that she actually touches the ground.
Wilson Kipketer, hands down. The guy is super smooth.
Wilson Kipketer
I've always liked Lagat's stride.
Most of the great sprinters have good form, but I do have a question. Do tall distance runners tend to have too much back kick when they run or do I need glasses?
I was going to nominate Gabe Jennings, but then I remembered the great Emil Zatopek. Thank God that running form isn't essential for speed.
