Vibrams - do people actually run fast in them?

I've ran a couple of 5k's under 16 minutes in vibrams they actually did really good for me. I commonly hear people behind me saying the guy in the toe shoes is gonna die after the first mile yet they never see me again.

haha, call whatever you want, just saying what I'm reading in my logs.

I wore vibrams as a sophomore, they helped me change my running form, and then I got really good at sprinting.... any way I ran 4:25 1600m as a sophomore, and still wear minimalist shoes.

I tried them for a while - about 50 miles on 10 easy runs. I got blisters between the toes despite using body glide, so I'm done with them.

I just saw the Adipure Adapt which looks as minimalist as Vibram but doesn't have the "fingers". Anybody tried that?
