I'm given crap because of me promoting mid/forefoot strike for performance running. As if it's just a personal choice, not about performance.
I wonder, which heel striker holds a world record, or held one recently?
Does a model exist to predict best possible times for various main foot strike categories? For all I know, everyone who wins anything, will be unlikely to have rear sole wear on their shoes.
The best >3000 runners at my club are heel strikers. Best meaning fastest.
I made the transition away from heel strike and went from being dropped by local girl racers, by only being dropped by the quicker MD racers. So it seems to worrk for me.
Thanks for your input,
