This XC season, I'm running around 16:4x for the 5k, consistently. Can I break 10 minutes in the 2 mile in winter track? If so, I'd like to know which training you guys suggest. I don't know whether I should rebuild a good base in addition to the normal intervals, tempo runs, etc. Ultimately I want to be running my best in the spring, but I'm shooting for a sub-10 this winter and I'm just wondering if it's doable.
