I recently ran my first half marathon in just over 1:15 and placed in the top 20. What I notice is that all the runners who were running the same pace(even those with longer legs) were taking almost exactly two strides for every one of mine.
I'm 5'9" 153lbs and have relatively short legs for my height and I'm quite powerful and strong.
My question is if I want to improve my half marathon time, should I be trying to increase my stride frequency and take shorter strides? If this may benefit me how much time could I expect to slash off a 1:15 half marathon?
