Who cares if he cheated. Everybody cheats in cycling so they're all on a level playing field anyway. He cheated and won 7 Tour de France races against a field of cheaters. He's still arguably the greatest cyclist ever.

Lance is stoked right meow. The "livestrong" foundation is doing better than ever with all the free press. This whole thing has been awesome for his foundation. This is really all lance gives a $hit about!
Kudos to him and the foundation.
He was under the care of licensed physician
so put that in your corn pipe and smoke that.
GO GO GOPHER: Himah go pow!

Ironically, to many he was. The oppressive Columbian Government is hated by many Columbians.
I don't care about Lance the big assh0le. I care about the unbelievable idiots who still believed he was clean after he said he'd stop fighting the charges.

We can assume that every successful endurance sport success is dirty over the last 20 years.
Lance is only the tip of the iceberg.
All pro sport on world stage is dirty.

not when Lance calls the UCI on you it isn't.

Well, every cyclist does not cheat. You should find a new premise.
+1
Original poster, I'd also like to point out your statement is false. People react differently to EPO. Some people get a bigger boost than others. Cycling is about who can train the hardest and benefit the most from doping.
Please know your sh!t before babbling like an idiot.
To the OP, this means that cycling was a pharmacology contest and not an athletic one. Whoever could afford the better doctors and drugs won.

I just wanted to second this thought. I don't want to watch sports to see who has the best doctor. I want to see the best athletic performance. So there are rules to make the playing field even. Certain drugs are banned for good reason. Take those drugs or you will be disqualified. Lance(and team, and probably most Tour riders) took drugs on the banned list. It's not good for sport.

Don't be so fukcing stupid.

This ^
Not all drug regimes are created equal. Thus, even if everyone was on PEDs that does not mean that all cyclists were gaining the exact same advantage through their use of PEDs.
As a result, it is not at all clear that Lance was the best cyclist of all time. It would be at least as fair to say that Lance was the best drug cheat of all time in the sport of cycling.
He was the best Tour de France rider of all time, dope or no.
And all of these so called 'performance enhancing drugs' are just mental props anyway. Who really believes these days that Amphetamines are essential in elite cycling? But to argue against that ridiculous dogma would have been seen as laughable in the mid sixties wouldn't it?

Oh, the irony!
Not every elite athlete is taken in by the PED rhetoric you know?
Lance Armstrong strengthens my hatred for all cyclists. Are there more arrogant people on the face of the earth than cyclists. He definitely represents his sport well.

You are talented. Being able to type with your head in the sand is impressive.
No, not every elite athlete takes PED's; just the ones who cross the line first and that have records that are phenomenally faster than their peers.
Some are state sponsored (I.E. Morocco) some are private (I.E. Lance and crew). The results are the same..
He is the Barry Bonds of cycling - one of the best all time, and certainly the best doper.
