Neighbor will sell me his Garmin foreunner 405 for $90, worth it?

The bezel ring is crap. Apart from that it's an excellent watch.

Depends on how much he used it. Had mine almost 4 years but it is shot. Doesn't look bad but it doesn't hold its charge and button and ring are worn down making it difficult to switch screen. There has to be a reason why neighor doesnt want it.

Mine is around 3 years old - still works fine but doesn't hold much of a charge - around 3 hours. And lately the charger has had trouble making a connection to the watch.

Buy it. If it's shot, you can send it in to Garmn for 50 or 60 bucks, and they will send you a refurbished one. I did it with my 205.

I've got the 405 and am fine with it, but . . .

this is the 3rd one. I had to return the 1st 2 because

1) The 1st one froze up on me and would not reset

2) The 2nd one fell apart - exposed wires and all

This one is working fine but beware if you are out of warranty (1 year I think).

Just a follow up, I did buy it and haven't even sat down to look at it yet. I hope its much better than my 201 (which actually works fine and looks brand new still, somehow)
