4am
5:00 AM during working days, and it varies widely during the weekend.
doesn't getting up that early suck a ss?
Maybe like 9:00 a.m.....
Good thread. I've always wondered what others do.
1st run: 5am
2nd run: 12:30 (during lunch)
Saturday: 6am
Sunday: 9am, but pushing my son in a stroller
I'm basically in a perpetual state of tired these days.
4:30 AM Sometimes 4 depending on how many miles I need to run, or the workout.
Nothing beats running a track workout at night!
Wake up at 7 for run, at work at 9, run again afterward.
For those waking up at 5 or earlier, what is your normal morning routine like? When do you get into work? Do you run again during the day?
For most morning runs, 7:45 AM. If I'm doing ay type of distance, maybe 7:30 or 7:15 if I have to. Otherwise 7:30-8:00 PM if I'm running at night. Sometimes later
5:00 AM for me
I do 30-50 mins in the morning, but i do 10 mins of dynamic exercises because i'm usually stiff at that hour and it's cold out
i have class at 9 am currently.
i shower right after waking up, hate the feeling of doing anything without showering first, and then of course showering after the run. plus i do some foam rolling after too. cooking and eating breakfast, taking a sh!t, getting dressed, brushing teeth, etc. takes up time.
i leave home at 8:30, so my morning routine including my run takes about 3 1/2 hours not including the commute
trying to avoid taking 8 am classes at all costs, really don't wanna wake up at 4 am. having to go to bed at 9pm already killed my social life lol, i don't wanna be going to bed at 8!
5am before work at 7, run again after work at 3. College kids who can sleep in until 8 or 9 live it up. It isn't going to last, oh those were the days.
I don't run until 7 PM most days. Morning runs blow, so why bother getting up at 5:00? When I double, it's like 6:50 AM.

There's no way this is real. Are you in the shower for like fourty minutes or something? This is crazy.
I get up at 5:15 or 5:30 and get out the door within 25 minutes. One thing that helps me with the poop ordeal: I get in a routine of dropping a load as soon as I get up, and then again after getting dressed right before I leave. Don't understand how it works, but when you work on it your body can get into a rhythm like that.
I get to work any time between 8 and 9am depending on the run. If I do a 2nd run it's usually at lunch, which works out b/c there's a gym/locker room at my office.
I HATE running after work. I spend that last hour or so of the work day debating whether I have the time to do it. Plus then I have to make sure my stomach is all settled from anything I ate/drank. For me it's better to get it out of the way early.

this is flat out ridiculous. your time management abilities must be dismal.
you're going to be f-ed when you're done with school and actually have to start working.
start 8 miler at 615, catch bus at 745. 2nd run is a mental grind.. usually need company for it
wake up at 5:45-6:00 am depending on if I'm running a bit longer some days. Wait 25-30 minutes before running to wake up, nibble on some food, and try to force a deuce. out the door no later than 6:30. back by 7:45. shower, dress, eat breakfast, etc. out of the house by 8:20am for a 25 minute drive to work. at my desk by 8:45.
if I'm doubling, usually 40ish minutes, I'll run after work. I get home from work usually around 6:15 and I try to get out running by 6:30 or else its starts getting dark and I'll end up talking myself out of running.
Getting up at 6 every day wouldn't be that hard, except I can't get to sleep earlier than 12 so I'll only get about 5-6 hours of solid sleep a night, which is not nearly enough.

Not if you go to bed early, but then going to bed early assumes that you have a regular 8 to 4 job or 9 to 5 job. Or that you don't work more than 10 hours a day. But then, some people are built to thrive on as little as 4 hours of sleep, or maybe they make it up on the weekends and their off days.
I can't see a hardcharger with a 60 hour workweek keeping those kinds of running hours though. Just do the math:
Workday: 8 am to 8 pm, during a normal workday
2 hours (or longer depending on your commute) to get home, eat dinner, take a bath, and read the paper) Meaning the arliest you can get to bed is 10 pm, being generous. Hmm, on second though, going to bed as late as 11 and geting up for a 4:30 run will still give you 5 hours of sleep. Maybe it is doable.
I have class at 8am, 10am, and 2pm. i run between 10am and 2pm classes
Either 1pm or 1am...or both, the life of a restaurant owner.
