Hi guys I am a second year nursing student, with prs of 17:52 cross 5k, 10:25 3200m, 4:53 1600m, and 800m 2:13. I was thinking of this schedule for my base training this winter.
Monday 6-8 miles 7-7:30 pace
tuesday 5-6 miles 12-16 200m strides 34-36
Wednesday 6-8 miles 7-7:30 pace
Thursday 2 mile warmup tempo 5:55-6:05 three miles, 2 mile cooldown progress as base phase goes on.
Friday 7-8 miles 7-7:30 pace
Saturday two miles 1000's miles or 2000m's 2 mile cooldown
Sunday 10-13 miles at recovery pace such as 7:30-8:00
