Mine would have to be the old Miami Erie-Canal Classic 10k in Hamilton, Ohio. Just a simple, flat, out and back race. Winning times usually low 31s. I think it died back in the early 90s. Man, I miss that race.

Ferndale 5K in Linthicum/Ferndale, Maryland. Took place back in the 90s, but got canceled. Had some decent prize money and used to draw some fast Kenyans. Winning times would be in the 13:40s, if I remember correctly. Very fast course that drew a lot of runners.
Midland Run 15k. Early days had Rono, Lindsay, Viren, etc. of course that first year almost broke the bank, but they continued the race through the 90s
GMAA's Trollheim 5k. Essex, VT. Dirt roads, hilly. First Saturday in May. Usually decent competition. $2 to enter. Hotdogs and beer at the finish.
Did it every year from 1986 until it ended in about 2005 or so.
Ryan's Zoo Run at Cleveland Zoo...Instead of trophies, they gave Dakin or Gund stuffed animals for awards...Ran it every year they had it and now I think it's been 10+ years since they've had it....
The Sprinbank Road Races in Springbank Park in London, Ontario. There was a four and a half mile and a twelve, both slightly short, a master's race, a woman's race. Just a great day of running.
The Lakeshore 10k in Miller Beach, IN.
I was going to say the Midland Run as well. anyone know why this one ended a few years ago?
Another one that used to be a pretty big 5 mile race (I don't think it was a money race but still had a good sized competitive field) was the Sprintin' Clinton. In recent years it had been a 5K with a smaller field and I just went to sign up for this year and it said postponed until next year so not sure if it is actually dead or in a coma for now.
Cascade Run Off
Boston Marathon (It died years ago.... it just doesn't know it yet.)

I heard that Mooreland Farms didn't like all the traffic and cars on the property. Seems strange since they let thousands of drunks sully the property every Oct for The Hunt.
Park Forest Scenic 10 miler. Never ran it myself but enjoyed watching this race that family and friends ran. World class fields too.
Takara Cable Car Chase 5 mile in San Fransico! Fun with an awesome downhill finish. First place was a 10 day trip to Japan(all expenses paid) to race against their champion.
Woods to Water. Really could have used a few more mugs and pitchers...
Park Forest 10 miler in Park Forest IL.
It was the perfect tune up race for the Chicago Marathon and always voted the best race in the area. From parking to porta potties it was the best.
Seems local politics killed it IN 2007 and there is nothing close around to replace it. The area also began to change, I'm sure that had something to do with it too.

Same here.
Edmund Fitzgerald 100k in northern Minnesota.
The Runners World Fun Runs.
They were held at Foothill College, Los Altos, CA in the 70's and 80's. I heard they kept going after Bob Anderson sold Runners World in the mid 1980's.
The Philadelphia Distance Run which is now the Philadelphia RNR half marathon. The race does not have the same feel. Also, the Asbury Park 10K Classic, I loved that race.
The Calle Ocho 8K in Downtown Miami, Fla.
Night race with a live beat and great food afterwards.
Came down to money, road closures, and politics as usual.
