Also, is th York team open to everyone? Either anyone can be coached to a sub 18 minute time or just about anyone can be put on the team?

Some people are born to coach, just as some are born to run and others are born to play music, teach, or paint.

i heard him speak at a nike coaching clinic in LA a few years ago, and he talked about wanting to get in to coaching when he was a youngster (like, HS age). there's some great one-on-one interviews with Rich Gonzalez online from that night as well. if you get the chance to watch him speak live, go for it. he's incredibly energetic and inspiring.
