I have a 5k race soon and am wondering how I should rest/reduce mileage for it. I usually do doubles and run everyday, no major injuries in a while.
I know most people don't take the day right before the race off, but would it be wise for me to take the day 2 days before off, and then run 5 mi w/strides the day before? Or is it better to just run both days since I'm used to it (haven't taked a day off since 7/10).
I run 70-80 mpw BTW.
