Was it just a shallow bank they were running on?
They are running on slightly submerged, floating palets. There's a making of video somewhere on youtube
They just set up some underwater platforms. The only thing that makes the video "believable" is that they are pretty good actors talking about their research, methods, experiments...
It's a cool video but I have a hard time imagining that any adult could actually believe it. It is worth a "Bravo, nice show chaps!".
