Rolled my ankle today on a run when I accidentally stepped in a pothole like an idiot. I tried to keep it moving and rotating it and walking on it right after. Then iced, then moved, then iced, then compressed and took a nap. It has stiffened up in the last few hours. Now it hurts to walk on it and it definitely hurts to move my foot from side to side.
There was zero swelling, and no bruising which seems good. But it is tender when I push on my ankle and my foot right below.
I searched through old threads but I wasn't sure what the consensus was. When can I run again? Should I not run if it hurts? Will running help it loosen up or make it worse?
I would really like to be ready to go by Monday, but I guess I will have to see. Thanks for replies.
