top 8%. Booya. I've before won anything before.
Damn,
LetsRun.com is full of smart employees.
JK got 3rd and Employee 1.1 was 4th and would have been third had he not changed his marathon pick.
LetsRun.com really is like a big company.
The employees do all the work but barely get compensated while the two CEOs gets all the dough for finishing in the 400s. Rojo was 409th while Wejo was 463nd - one point apart for the identical twins.
Actually, JK is technically management as he's a 1% owner.
JK competed under a fake name - I'm not sure if I should reveal it but he was third.
Finished in the upper half of the standings, and was only shut out in the Men's 1500 and the Women's Marathon. I'll call that a success! All four of my perfect events were on the women's side...less competition = more predictable??
pho real = canadian winner...aww yaaa
And curse the USA 4 x 100 relays for not dropping the baton. I counted on that!
How deep do the prizes go and what are they?
137th. Front page of group "none." I'll take it. Woulda been higher if I made the obvious choices with the sprints. Damnit.
I know this might not be the best place for this suggestion, but Letsrun needs to give only 2 points for correctly picking a winner and 3 points for getting 1-2-3 in order correct because the odds of selecting 1-2-3 in order are waaaaaay worse than picking a winner. Just saying.
Not perfect, not impressed.
T&FNews @ 8th shows they can still produce a good tout sheet.
Anyone who earned over 130 points in the contest was clearly on EPO's.
considering after day 2 I was in around 2000th place or so, I'm pretty proud that I clawed my way all the way back to 33rd, one of my higher finishes in these prediction contests (just behind my placing in 2011 US nationals one).
Crazy to see my name finishing twelth. I am going to have to take a screen shot of that. May never happen again in my lifetime!
A change in two events by a total of .06 [women's and men's 100M] and might have gotten 1st or 2nd. That is how close these things can be with all these experts playing.
9th... so close and yet so far. Not sure why I picked Cheruiyot over Dibaba for the 5 and 10k. Bad move on an otherwise stellar performance!
Probably for the same reason that many did. Cheruiyot rocks. Many of us did not know she had been injured and was not at her best during the games or she very likely would have won one or both of those events.
