That translation is so terrible that you can't even tell what's being said.
This seems pretty clear:
Farah tonight on the 5000 meter hunt for a second gold medal, and Rupp both train at the American Alberto Salazar in Portland, Oregon. The former marathon runner herself came into disrepute when his name appeared in the customer base of Victor Conte, pivotal in the Balco affair in 2003 came to light and which among others, former World and / or Olympic champions Marion Jones, Tim Montgomery and Dwain Chambers as drug users were exposed and later suspended.
Salazar has never made a secret of the fact that his athletes 'scientific way' prepares.
Thyroid: stimulator of metabolism and energy
Thyroid stimulates the metabolism and energy homeostasis. The strength training is the means used to lose weight.
In the performance-enhancing effect of Thryroid Little research has been done. A study with rats, conducted by the University of Bonn, has shown that the drug stimulates the production of endogenous EPO. EPO stimulates the production of red blood cells, allowing athletes to absorb more oxygen.
Interesting...
I know for sure Salazars group are regularly tested and their blood profiles registered so any blood variations would show up. Are you saying that the testers are in collusion ? It's sickening to always be getting these unsubstantiated hints and accusations by faceless trolls
No, they are saying that the thyroid medicine isn't on the banned list, so even if it is found in the testing they can't do anything because it isn't illegal. The article also says that it might be dangerous, that the athletes are taking a big risk.
Who cares? If it's not illegal, then what's the fuss? Other athletes are more than free to run a bunch of miles, and then blame their fatigue/sluggishness/muscle aches on their thyroid and get prescribed too. I don't see what is "unfair" about that.

Agreed... Total bitter fools. I can't figure out if it's because they can't reach Rupps level or because Salazar used to kick their ass.
And Salazars name appearing on a Balco list, long after his competitive days and long before Marion Jones days proves nothing.
Well I am not going to do it now!
"The exact risks are indeed not yet been uncovered, but I now doctors understood that if you stop with the stuff that pretty much everything a runaway."
Seriously do you any of you have ANY proof they're using thyroid medication? There was a mention one time when rupp was in college. Maybe he had a thyroid problem? There is no indication farah is using thyroid meds and no indication rupp is now either. What's with these stupid posts?
thyroid is basically b-complex vitamins...... what's wrong with that ?

It's part of letsrun mythology. It's not going to go away any time soon.
Rupp has allegedly suffered from hypothyroidism, so he would have required thyroid medication.

Yes, proof, do you see Farah's eyes bulging:
http://news.images.itv.com/image/file/74660/article_6eacc02275e9be02_1344380686_9j-4aaqsk.jpegAnd his teeth look suspiciously white for a Brit too.
Are you suggesting that Salazar's group should plead the Lance?
I think it is absoultely disgusting that there is a link to this thread on the home page under a failed drugs positive for that Russian bloke. Get a grip Lets Run, another example of how biased you are against Rupp.

Check your facts buddy......thyroid hormone regulates the entire body's metabolism.......that said I do not see much advantage that could be gained unless the athletes actually had a thyroid deficiency, in which case they would just be bringing themselves back to the state of a normal human being. Too much thyroid hormone can easily be just as detrimental causing severe anxiety and stress on the body and particularly the adrenals if anxiety becomes a problem. The only benefit that I could really see in that case is that a runner who's thyroid is not producing hormone on it's own and the althlete is taking supplemented hormone they would have much more consistent levels than an healthy athlete who's normal production of hormone varies depending on how much they are pushing their bodies.....so it might help with recovery.......despite this it is rather unfair if an athlete does have a problem to criticize size the other option is to watch their health gradually or even rapidly waste away....becoming fat, mentally slow, always exhausted, and eventually be at severe risk for heart failure. It is life or death for those with a problem.....
Learn how to read :
« A study with rats, conducted by the University of Bonn, has shown that the drug stimulates the production of endogenous EPO...»
It's crystal clear! And THIS is why they do it!
Just ask Kara why she left Salazar!
