I'm honestly shocked that Meb finished 4th. I figured he could make somewhere close to that if he was healthy, but he was supposedly injured very recently, so I figured he'd be the first of the Americans to DNF rather than the only one that didn't.
Way to go Meb! All heart...well done!

Wow. what a performance. Thank you for everything, Meb. Hall and other Americans could learn a few things from him and his family.
We all thought he was finished a few years ago after his horrendous marathon trials in 2007 and his subsequent injuries . So inspirational to all those who are battling chronic injury problems.
Meb would never drop out. He finished the 2007 Trials with a fractured pelvis! This being Meb's last Olympics he would have finished with two broken legs if he had to. Congrats to Meb on a great race! He was back in 19th at one point and fought all the way back to 4th! Just shows how much heart he has. He never gives up.

No way he decides he's too injured to run 15k in. My god, that was his run yesterday.
