He is a bullshit motherfvcker as far as i'm concerned
If this guy ends up with a world championship and few sub 3:30s then retires without testing positive...
will people give him the benefit of the doubt??
The only reason I have to believe he doped is he ran fast. This, as far as I'm concerned, isn't enough evidence. As much as I wish he gets caught, either way we still have at least a silver medal which is incredible. Personally, I don't even care as long as we medaled. The only reason I'd want him to get caught is so Centrowitz gets a medal. But I will not be greedy.
This is an incredible time for American distance running and I'd rather enjoy and celebrate our success rather than bitch and moan about this Algerian.
I noticed that he has very short hair and has shaved his armpits. Perhaps to avoid new hair-based doping tests?

Did you watch the race? He didn't run extraordinarily fast, but the way he did it was pretty alarming. The guy dropped a 25.1 200m from 1200-1400. He smoked the best guys in the world, including Kiplagat, the Ethiopian, and Iguider. The other athletes didn't even look at him after the race, much less congratulate him, and Steve Cram was even up in the booth doubting the guy.
And you say you don't care?!? Yeah, the U.S. had a great showing either way, but how about some justice in this sport. This guy may very well have just cheated Leonel Manzano out of a fvcking OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL. If he didn't dope that's fine, but this guy may very well turn out to be Ramzi the II.
My first thought when he finished with the win was, "Leo is going to end up with a gold medal!" Sadly, it didn't happen today officially like it should have. As many others have said, his semi and final moves away from the field just looked so easy... kind of reminds me of the ease with which Caster Semenya destroyed the 800 field back in 2009.
Testing might be getting slightly better lately but it's still a pipe dream to think we'll ever see a day where the dirty athletes will get caught before they win world/Olympic medals and big-time money. Usually I don't let the doping stuff ruin my overall thoughts of track and field but days like today and races like that 1500 get me a bit discouraged.
Cheaters should suffer for eternity
Ramzi 2.0.
I vote that he gets caught, and Leo gets is gold 6 months late.
Lord Coe will not let this slide. Not in his Olympics. Makhloufi will be busted within the next few months.
Lets start a poll for Manzano and Centrowitz. I know Manzano closed really fast in he last 75 m or so. He could be doping.
Y'all need to cut out this ridiculous doping shit and let the tests say ehat they may.
I looked up his PRs on IAAF site. Ran world junior XC and nothing special.
In 2009 he ran 3:34
In 2011 he ran 3:32
In 2012 he ran 3:30.
Nothing suspicious about these times by themselves. I have no idea whether he doped or not but from the surface of it, it would not appear like he has made progress at a rate which isn't commensurate with hard work alone. I could be completely wrong but the numbers don't raise suspicion.
BBC interview with Makhloufi:
Makhloufi: "I work hard all year and I win this competition"
Interviewer: "And you won by a big margin in the end, can you explain why?"
Makhloufi: "Because I'm training hard."
Next year in Moscow, I charge someone from this board to position themself behind the interviewer after the 1500m final to yell "Because I was too juiced to lose!"
He also said in the interview that he changed everything this year, "my coach, my training, everything".
Of course it's sad to be jumping on the guy with no real evidence, but coming out of nowhere this year and obliterating a very solid field like a man amongst boys is pretty crazy stuff.
I think we can all agree, if he's clean that's one of the most impressive wins of all time.
He even looked guilty about it being so easy, like it was a semi.
I feel this guy may be hounded like Olga Yegorova. Very unfair if he's clean.

My thoughts exactly.
On the BBC cast, it showed Seb sitting next to Bannister, both of whom looked shocked.
In an interview after the race, the BBC interviewed Seb and he said that he was surprised by the result. You could tell he was biting his tongue, along with crammie and brendan calling the race.
Seb will not let this happen in HIS event in HIS olympics. The downside is that this will be the second olympics in a row where the guy who won the olympic 1500m was drugged (well, more than 2nd but that is another issue...) and it will cast a shadow on the event.
If Makhloufi is dirty for running too fast at the end then Manzano is also dirty. Centrowitz is semi-dirty, finishing fast, but not as fast as the first.
Accusers on letsrun are total fools. They believe rveryone is dirty except the person you are hoping will win.
I have to admit it's the first thing I thought of when Manzano said, "I feel like I won."
Of course not, he's Algerian. Of course his pb was 3 seconds faster than Monzano's and beat him by .8. I guess that makes him guilty in the Geo-centric Americans' eyes.
You didn't have an option for "I have no idea", which most people should probably choose
