With Powell done I would think that there is little or no difference between the Jamaican squad and the US squad. This could be an epic final.
Of course, the US has to find a way to get the baton around during the semi's ......

Assuming clean hand-offs (big "if"), I like the chances of Gatlin-Bailey-Spearmon-Gay.
which men's team and which women's team will get the world record?
Run Gay second on the long leg to get back into the race after Blake blows it open. Then Spearman on the turn and Gatlin on the anchor and maybe if the exchanges are clean they will have a "CHANCE". Bolt will run however fast it takes to get the job done though.
I saw the guys run at Monaco(?) and they did ok but had a lot of work to do. That didn't take into account a variety of scenarios that might change the order for strategy purposes. Maybe keeping it as simple as possible and hope for the best is all they could realistically manage.

spearman is a weak turn runner. I would run him second, gatlin first because of his great start, bailey third and gay on the anchor. however isnt there another 100m guy to run instead of spearman who isnt that good over 100m?

The second carry is exactly as long as the other three legs, you know it is called 4x100 for a reason. Why would you call it the long leg?
equal length legs on all sides wrote:

Its where you put your strongest runner so that you make up time.

By playing with fly zons you can shorten leg one to 90 meters and potentially open up leg 2 to 120.
Spearmon won't be allowed to touch the baton.
Probably Kimmons in LO.

I hate to be the one to state the obvious BUT...... Powell wasn't in the 4x100 last year when Jamaica set the world record...
Ha Ha...They seriously believe we have no more runners. We have 9.93 man who didn't even make the team.

Who says Powell is done? I saw him pull up...that's it.
Dont forget that both Bolt and Blake are running in the 200, which means they will have more fatigue, while only Spearmon is for the yanks
