17 yr old runs World Youth Record 8:06.10, FIRST EVER!!!!

First time an athlete under the age of 18 ever ran sub 8:10 and the 17 yr old Conseslus had done it twice. He also holds the World Youth Record from winning the World Youth Title in 2010. The youngster stated, "he can't wait to mix it up with the seniors beginning July 20."

Kenyan dominance began in the late 80s and now there is no doubt they will kick our butts for the next decade, at least.

incredible time but you can't take seriously the age of a Kenyan because birth records are not kept accurately and we have seen far too many age group Kenyan cheating at world juniors/youth in recent years to believe them. Maybe he's 20 or 21 or 22 and almost ready to compete for senior titles and go sub 8. No shame in that.
