Jackie Areson has left the Nike Oregon Project according to a twitter pic but is still sponsored by Nike. Are there any women left? Begay went to AZ. L Allen is hurt. D Grunnagel seemed like cannon fodder for their workouts. Are they going to stick with just men? Why haven't women worked out in this team environment? Areson seems quite relieved to be gone.

Goucher jumped over to Schumaker's group awhile ago.
Coaching women is a different beast, some can do it some can't. People leaving doesn't mean that Salazar and Magness don't have it though. Kara was very successful with AlSal but realized she needed to train with the best woman in the US.

I heard last year they were dating, maybe they are both leaving together because of that. its prob against the rules to date while under contract with salazar and nike.
I talked to Magness at the trials briefly. They're not dating so that rumor can be put to rest.
It'd been in the works for a while. He/they were going to leave before Oxy but stuck it out through the trials.
Read between the tweet...why would she say "been waiting for this" if it was sudden post trials. It'd been in the works for a long time.
Why he/she left is as good a guess as anyone. But with the turnover of athletes recently like Begay, Goucher, Begley, O'Lionaird and with the fact no coach lasts when working with alberto (Jerry, Gambetta, Pfaff, Cook) it shouldn't be too surprising.
Turnover is the name of the game in the OP. The only constant is Rupp and Salazar.
