Last lap was not that fast Kuma (who led almost the entire race after the pacemaker dropped out) tried to outsprint Desisa but did not succeed.

You looked at the seed times, not results.
White ran 1:46.45 for 3rd and Leslie was 8:32 in the steeple for 8th.
