Take guys like Alan Culpepper , 6ft 1in 130lbs or someone like Kiprop who

German looks normal. The kid from Columbia - Merber - is freakishly thin.
At the 1994 BAA Sonia O'Sullivan looked somewhere between fit and anorexic.

I saw him in person he does not look freakishly thin. That is just wrong.

Most elites if you met them in person and they were wearing normal clothes or warm ups you probably wouldn't notice much difference from other in shape thin people. You could probably walk right by Rupp on the street and not even notice him. I've seen many elites walking around in street clothes at meets and had to point them out or have them pointed out to me as they really blended in to the crowd. Its when you see them on the track that they look really thin and light. Guys like Abdi look almost like aliens to be honest. Most of the elites aren't as tall as Culpepper most are pretty short and light looking. You would just think they were small guys if you met them. Elite runners aren't really that much lighter than your average D1 runners. I would say that most elites are maybe 5 lbs or less lighter than decent college runners of the same height and college runners are may 10-15 lbs lighter than HS runners.
Talked with Sam Chelanga last night for a few two-minute intervals between him taking pictures with children, and he was...normal, exactly what you'd expect for an uber-fit distance runner.
I've met quite a few elites. In jeans and a north face fleece they look like anyone else in jeans and a north face fleece.
As for all the hot runner babes I've f-ed, they look great with their clothes off.
